[ That is, indeed, the scientific term for this particular specimen.
And, wow! Praise her more, Shuichi! She's glad this is over text so he can't see her cheeks burning up. ]
yeah sort of a lot of people have been helping me so it's going ok (ಠ o ಠ)¤=[]:::::> apparently new people get a lot more stuff cause my friend said when she got here she had a lot less skills to learn
[Text is the superior method of communication. Being able to hide your blushing is but one of many things that makes this so.]
Good! I'm glad to hear it. That's a little odd, though. You'd think we would all start out the same, skill-wise. Then again...I'm not sure how that ever works. How they manage to give us skills and abilities we never had before. So maybe it's just that they've perfected the process over time and can give those of us who came later more to start with so we aren't so behind...
Well, I'm only an apprentice, technically. But...I kind of can't help but theorize about things like that, when they're brought to my attention. I guess in this case though, the reason doesn't really matter.
Well...I've only been on one mission so far, so it's a little hard to say. And the only people who asked for my help on that one were two of my friends from home.
There are only a handful of people who even know I'm a detective, so...it's not that weird, really. It's not something that comes up super often in conversation.
I'd appreciate that though. Even if I'm a detective, I'm only one person, you know? There are things I'm bound to miss. Especially on these missions to recover the Relics. The last one had so much going on at once, that even having experience with investigating only helped so much... Plus, I feel like I do my best detective work when I have the support and help of friends and teammates.
it seems like theres a lot of questions nobody has asked miss director cause she's busy nobody knows how many relics there are nobody knows how many paths there are or even which ones she knows for sure
It's possible you've just been asking the wrong people. I find it a little odd that NOBODY knows how many paths there are. I feel like that's something that more people than just the Director would know. Other members of the Bureau staff I mean, the people who are actually from this world...
I've only spoken to the Director once, and I didn't even think to ask her about the number of Relics at the time. I was more concerned about seeing the destruction of the one we just brought back with my own eyes.
yeah i guess but it seems weird that people who've been here for like half a year or longer don't know that, don't you think?? and like wouldnt it be better for miss director to be like "hey good job you've got 5 out of 10 we're halfway there" as a motivator
[ There is ... something about that last line that throws her off. Shuichi didn't seem like the type to watch things getting destroyed for fun, but then again, she barely knows him. ]
Oh no, I agree with you on that part. It's definitely a little odd that nobody knows about the number of Relics. Though perhaps the Director herself doesn't know...
Well...to make sure it actually WAS destroyed. One of my friends has been here since the beginning and she told me that they made a show of destroying the first one but then...save for one that was destroyed during the mission itself, nobody saw the others destroyed. They were supposedly all done in private. Maybe it's just an occupational hazard of being a detective, but that worries me a little. It's suspicious.
[ Wow. That is messed up. Natsuki does not like thinking that she was brought here and her world was destroyed just to go farm powerful items for someone who wanted to hoard them for themselves. Jeez, that sounds like the plot of a manga.
There's a long silence as that swirls around in her head, but ... at the end of it, she comes up with nothing. She doesn't know enough, and she hasn't been here long enough to have any impression of her own. ]
There's always going to be a room for doubt, unfortunately. That's just how these kinds of things are.
The Director WAS willing to let us watch the destruction of the Compact when Akamatsu-san and I asked her, which bodes well but... For all we know, the Compact she destroyed was just a copy. We weren't the ones who handed the thing over to her, after all. Feasibly, she had time to make a fake and switch them. But it's just as feasible that there was no switch and the Director is being completely honest and upfront about her intentions.
Yeah... Don't dwell on it too much though, I don't want to completely turn you against the Director or the Bureau or anything. Like I said, it's just one possibility of many. And one based entirely on theory rather than proof, at that. My deductions aren't always right. It's just something to keep in mind. All we can really do is play things by ear. Reclaim the Relics and see where things go from there.
i mean im not about to run around shouting miss director is evil or anything i get that there's a lot we don't know it just sucks to not know for sure what kind of person she is when she's the one who brought us here i guess

lol you really are a detective
(╭ರ_⊙)
deducing all that from pretty much nothing
even* i hate it when my work computer autocorrects to the wrong word >:(
I guess in this case though, the reason doesn't really matter.
I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE ...
i bet everyone bugs you a lot on missions and stuff to help them figure things out though huh?

[ There's a pause, as she thinks about what Sayori had said about it. ]
well anyways hopefully its not as bad this next time
how many relics are there anyways?

Hopefully.
I'm not sure how many there are, actually. I know that five have been recovered so far, but not how many there are total...

why did you want to watch it being destroyed
