[It's several hours before he finally starts to stir, though at least it's earlier than normal, by Shuichi standards. Seems at some point the hair stroking actually was enough to wake him. Or at least enough to start rousing him. His eyebrows knit together a little in what is likely half-awake confusion and he murmurs unintelligibly before his eyes flutter open.]
[For a few seconds, he looks at Kaede in dazed, sleepy surprise, through half-lidded eyes. But once his brain is awake enough to actually make sense of things, he suddenly becomes less hazy and smiles softly.]
Good morning... [This isn't the first time Kaede has snuck into his room in the middle of the night to cuddle with him, so he's not particularly surprised to see her. He's gotten used to it by now. So instead of asking why she's here, he just leans in for a quick good morning kiss.]
