Bzzt! Those aren't them! [Some more manhandling, though he has at least become more gentle. He can tell that was a genuine request, but he's not done having his fun.]
Come on Saihara-chan, can't you remember the safe words we agreed on when we signed that contract? You picked them out, even, to make sure you'd remember them!
[This at least gets him to stop, the leader sitting back, eyes brimming with tears quickly.]
I was so happy when you'd signed that agreement with me! And all those hours spent carefully planning out our new relationship, you agreeing to sign your life over to me as my new submissive, even meticulously writing down some fun scenarios we wanted to try...was that all a prank? Did none of that mean anything to you?
[The wailing came immediately afterward, crocodile tears spilling over. And even though his voice is hoarse from the copious amounts of crying he'd done earlier - even before he'd come to talk to Shuichi - he keeps the act up.]
So meeeeean! If you wanted to be my owner instead, you should have said so! How could you treat me like this? WAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!
[This is likely much more over the top than what he might do normally, but he's trying to push away his anxieties, his fears, how sick he feels with himself. Doing something that's more "normal" is nice...]
[Wow, he bounced back quick. Though Shuichi can't help but wonder how much of this is actually Kokichi forcing himself to bounce back...]
Of course you remember it well, you just made it up right now...
[At least his leg is free. Don't mind him, he's just going to...sit with his legs criss crossed so Kokichi can't get at his still half-asleep foot again.]
[Unfortunately it's 100% forced on his part. He hasn't bounced back at all in reality, not even fully processing everything that happened. Processed it enough to allow him to actually ask Shuichi for things, like the detective has been wanting him to do, but beyond that...he'll save it for later. For when he has some sleep and some food in him, and can think more clearly.
Despite the fact that it's forced, however, his crocodile tears disappear behind a grin easily enough, one that pinches at the corners of his eyes and gives him a genuinely happy look. A perfect mask.]
Yup, you got me! Gosh I just can't get anything by you anymore, can I? Too bad, I think I'd like a scenario like that!
[Alright, getting back under the covers and straightening them out some. He then lays down, putting his nose to one pillow first for a few moments before the other--ah, here we go. This one's Shuichi's. Definitely smells like him. Wrapping his arms around it like he would if it were the detective himself, he lays down with a tired sigh and closes his eyes, facing towards his friend.]
[They are not exactly the same! Maybe if you took a whiff of the one your girlfriend sleeps on, you'd notice the difference. But it's okay if you don't too, because that would just make his feelings even more obvious.
The smile he'd managed to put on before falls some, the leader opening his eyes again and looking up at him from the pillow.]
...you really...really do accept my apology?
[He reaches out with one hand, just gripping the edge of Shuichi's shirt loosely, staring at his own hand for a moment before back up at the detective's face, looking for eye contact.]
You really promise...really, really promise that you won't leave me alone?
[He'll find eye contact easily enough, since Shuichi had been watching him ever since he laid down and started sniffing pillows. His eyebrows raise a little in surprise. He hadn't expected to go back to serious discussion until after Kokichi woke back up. And even then, he wasn't positive. Kokichi is nigh impossible to predict, after all.]
[But that look of surprise fades into a small smile after a few moments.]
Yes, Oma-kun, I do. There are...still some things I'm not certain I can forgive you for, [Only "some" things though, meaning there are some actions that he apparently DOES forgive. Though he's not elaborating further.] but I know that you really are sorry and want to try and make amends. So I can accept your apology.
[Because he knows it's genuine. Even if it was a little lacking the first time, Shuichi knew that was more due to Kokichi just plain not knowing how to apologize, rather than a lack of sincerity. Or, rather, that's what he chose to believe. And doesn't this encounter prove that he was right?]
And I really, really [He matches Kokichi's tone and emphasis as best he can for those two words.] promise I won't leave you alone.
[He nods as he listens, understanding that he can't fully be forgiven and accepting that easy enough. He's fine with that...he expecting Shuichi to never forgive him, never want him around, after all...and he can't even forgive himself so...
And he nods again, when he reiterates the promise, with the same emphasis as he'd used. And there's a tiny smile, hearing that again, but it falls once more.]
Even if...nobody else forgives me? If our friends get here, and they want nothing to do with me? If...Momota-chan and Harukawa-chan don't want me around?
[If you're the only one who'd want to be around him, would you stay?]
[Okay, Maki is almost certainly a lost cause. There's no way she'll forgive him, no matter how sincere he is. And she never wanted him around to begin with, so...chances are that won't change.]
[The others though...surely some of them will accept his apology or even forgive him. Shuichi is certain he won't be the ONLY one.]
[He's expecting both her and Kaito to be lost causes, which is why he brought them up specifically. They're Shuichi's best friends, so...if they didn't want him around...
But he seems to believe Shuichi, relaxing again and letting go of him. He searches his face just a little bit longer, just making extra sure, and eventually sighs and nods again. And then he has the pillow in a tight hug again, nuzzling his face into it a little and closing his eyes. And luckily for Shuichi, he's out pretty quick after that, meaning the detective is free to get up and do as he pleases.]
[If they don't want him around, then Shuichi will just have to divide his time between them. He's pretty much made of free time now, so he's not too worried about it.]
[Despite the fact that he's free to get back to his training almost immediately, the first thing Shuichi does is message Kaede. Only after the two of them are finished talking does he finally get up from the bed and move back over to the living area to resume his sit ups. And once he's done as many of those as he can, he gets up and takes a shower.]
[Assuming Kokichi remained asleep for all of that, Shuichi returns to his spot next to him on the bed after changing into some clean clothes. He still doesn't lay down, but rather sits up against the headboard and gets out a book. Which is where he'll remain until Kokichi finally wakes up.]
[He does remain asleep through all of that, snoozing peacefully away. He maybe shifts once or twice as he sleeps, but not once do his eyes open. Being emotionally drained is so much more tiring when it doesn't happen to you often, this nap of his giving Shuichi plenty of time to complete everything he wants to and make his way back to the bed.
He even gets a good hour of reading in before the leader finally cracks his eyes open, making a sleepy sound as he glances around a little to figure out where he is again. Oh, right, Shuichi's room. Gaze settling on the detective himself, he stares at him - blinking blearily as he wakes up - before smiling softly. Reaching out, he gently grabs onto the hem of the other boy's shirt, just loosely holding onto it.]
You're still here~
[A drowsy but content tone, matching his expression.]
[He stretches some before recapturing his pillow, humming a little in thought. Should he lie or tell the truth...? He plasters a bright smile on his face.]
Just fine, Saihara-chan~! Getting all that silly stuff off my chest earlier really cheered me up, y'know?
[And then, to distract from that lie, he sits up and lets out a whine, hands clutching at his stomach.]
Except I'm really, really, really hungry! Starving, even! I feel like I'm just gonna waste away at any moment! You can hear my tummy growling, can't you? It's saying, "Oh, is there anyone kind enough to feed me~? My stupid human hasn't eaten in like four whole days and I'm gonna have to start cannibalizing him from the inside if I don't get nutrition soon!"
[Dramatically, he tips over sideways and lays across Shuichi's lap, his wrist over his eyes.]
See? I'm even feeling faint! Oh whatever will I do?
[Yeah there's no way that isn't a lie. But Shuichi chooses not to pursue it for now, and instead sighs and starts nudging the back of Kokichi's head.]
Alright, get up. I'll take you out for lunch so your stomach doesn't start eating itself.
[He's...less sure if the four days thing is a lie or not but...it doesn't really matter that much, in the grand scheme of things. If he's hungry, he's hungry, and Shuichi said he'd take care of him so he wouldn't have to play bingo anymore.]
Wow, really? So generous! I was gonna be nice and let you pick, since you're paying, buuuuuut since you already gave me permission I'll make sure to pick somewhere super fun!
[He straightens out his clothes a little now that he's standing, pulling a hair tie out of his pocket to just...tie back his hair for now. Forget trying to brush it and tame it or whatever. It's probably not too bad after just a nap anyway, right? Right.]
And by fun I of course mean one that spikes even the condiments~
If that's what you want, I'm not going to stop you.
[He's pretty sure that last part is a lie. But even if it's not, he's apparently not planning on eating himself, since he doesn't seem too worried by the prospect. But on that note, Shuichi slides off the bed and walks over to the entranceway to slip his shoes on and pull the door open, clearly waiting for Kokichi to join him.]
You know it's no fun if you just roll over and take it, Saihara-chan. [He's not upset by the idea of spiked food, so clearly he's not eating. Boo. Kokichi sticks his tongue out at Shuichi before moving to join him, slipping his shoes on as well before bouncing out the door.]
Oh well, it's not like I was actually going to pick a place like that anyway. I'm not really in the mood to hold you responsible for it.
[Come on, come on! Hurry up and close the door, he wants to go already!]

[Is Kokichi ever going to stop messing with him? Probably not. Oh well.]

Hm?

[It's his room, Kokichi. Where was he going to go?]
no subject
[He also said he didn't have to, and half expected him not to. But he doesn't argue, just nodding instead.]
Well, I'm happy then.
[Yawning as well, wracking his brain for something witty or teasing to add but coming up with nothing. Oh well. No harm in being sincere for once.]
I wasn't out for too long was I? I feel like I slept for a year...
no subject
[he closes his book and sets it aside, since it seems like Kokichi is actually going to wake up instead of just rolling over and going back to sleep.]
How are you feeling?

Mm, good. Don't want to waste too much daylight.

Saihara-chan cares about me~! He won't let my mean tummy eat me alive!
[The show of affection is short lived as he lets go soon after, throwing the covers off himself and getting out of bed.]
What are we gonna eat~? It'll have lots of spicy and bitter stuff, right? You know I looooove spicy and bitter food!
[Lies.]
no subject
Uhm...well, whatever you want? I can't take you out to a five star restaurant or anything, but I'm not going to tell you what to eat...
[Your choice, Kokichi. Wherever you want to go that's...you know, some place reasonable that he can actually afford.]
